Who Is Compatible With God | Hymns of Truth
Introduction
1 God's expressed countless words, His will and disposition, yet people are incapable of knowing, believing or obeying Him. You only think of blessings and rewards, not how to be compatible with God or not become His enemy.
God's so disappointed in you, He's given you so much, yet gained so little from you. Those who live in the Bible or on the cross, amidst the law or according to doctrine, or amongst the work God does today, which of them are compatible with Him?
2 Your arrogance, greed, fancy desires, your betrayal, disobedience, which of these could escape God's notice? You shame, palter with Him, cheat, exact Him, extort Him for sacrifices, how could all this elude His punishment? Your evildoing's proof of your enmity to God and your mismatch with Him. Those who live in the Bible or on the cross, amidst the law or according to doctrine, or amongst the work God does today, which of them are compatible with Him?
