However, as of now, not a single one of the Chinese government's accusations against The Church of Almighty God has been substantiated. Professor Introvigne published in-depth research and analysis on the May 28 Zhaoyuan City McDonald's murder case. His findings were that the brutal perpetrators of that murder absolutely were not members of The Church of Almighty God, and that the May 28 Zhaoyuan City McDonald's murder case is completely unrelated to the Church. On February 17, 2018, Christians from The Church of Almighty God in Spain hosted an evening gathering in Madrid’s Fuenlabrada with the theme of “We gather together here.” The purpose of the event was for friends of different nationalities to gain a greater understanding of The Church of Almighty God and to promote friendship between these groups.
